Let's talk more about improving ourselves, our skills, our lifestyle, starting a business or any project we feel passion towards and why it's good to keep things to ourselves sometimes, staying private.

We've all had moments in our lives when we felt like changing something for the better or to start something new we've never done before. It may have been lifestyle change like starting with healthier habits - working out or learning something new like a language or graphic design, starting a business we've dreamt of doing etc etc.
When we get these thoughts it's natural to think about sharing the news with other people. And I believe from my experiences that sometimes it can be quite risky to do, because not every person you tell your goals about is going to support you truly and cheer for you deeply.
I also know that it all comes down to the fact that you should be really knowledgeable about the circle of people you're surrounding yourself with. That you should only be with people, who make you want to improve for the better and motivate you to do things you truly believe in. But that's another topic I'd like to talk more about in the other blog post.
Why should we keep our secret projects to ourselves?
The first reason I previously mentioned is that we should know who we can trust with our projects/secrets and who not. If you're not certain, then it's better to keep it to yourself. Because if you tell things to the wrong person, who does not support you 100% and who may even be jealous of you, they will find ways to make you feel insecure and change your mind to stay in your comfort zone and not improve for the better. You may think that these negative comments will not affect you, but in a long time run you'll still think about what they've said if something is not working out like you wanted to in the first place. When you're starting with something, it's okay to have concerns, but it's important to not act on these temporary feelings. It's important to stay focused and believe in yourself and do everything in your power to achieve what you first started.
The second reason I believe in, is that nothing really goes to our plans. We may plan as much ahead and as good as we can, but there are always circumstances that just slip our minds and we can't imagine happening. Starting a project or a business can be tricky and believe it or not, not everything is going to go the way you wanted it to. But these moments will make us stronger and wiser and help us continue with journey to success. My point is that we should not tell people what our plan is, unless we have something real to show to them. To shock them with what we've succeeded at quietly and inspire them with our story afterwards. Words don't matter as much as acts do in this case. So if you're chatting to every other person about what you're doing, while not actually focusing on the acts to make something really happen, please ask yourself why you started in the first place.
The third reason is to enjoy the excitement all by yourself. Now this may apply to some of the people, to some it may not. But in this digitalised world we always feel like sharing everything that's going on. We feel like posting online about everything we do, every place we go, everyone we're with, so this could be a way to keep something to only yourself. To enjoy it and not let anyone else tell you what they think of it. I believe that it's nice sometimes to keep some stuff to yourself and not show everything to the world.
So, there are a couple of reasons why I believe that we shouldn't always be sharing our journeys with other people unless we have something real to show them. I personally like to shock people that didn't have a clue about me being interested in some topic with the projects I've made or didn't believe in my abilities to make something like that happen.
In the end, everything you do, you must remember why you started it in the first place. You must not let anyone else get into your head and focus on yourself and your journey.
