In today's world, it's easy to become overwhelmed by negativity and struggle to recognize the positives around us, especially with all these heartbreaking news that are being shown to us every day.
So many people have lost their ways of positive thinking just because they let anyone or anything get to them and make them think or feel a sertain way that is considered to be normal.
And while we're dealing with stuff in our lives that are not so great, it's also easy to get lost and fall into a depressive state of mind.
The thing is - if you don't look after yourself, don't take time out for self care and I mean it in every way possible, then you can expect to burn out soon with no clue how to find yourself again.
In order to live a fulfilling and a pleasing life, you must look after your thoughts that you get. Your mind will show you where you're at in life and you can change it by accepting the things you cannot and can change. Ebracing these thoughts will help you find a way how to change your life for the better. Change your habits that are going to define your future.
What are the steps to becoming a master of your mind?
Step one - practice mindful meditation. Meditation is a good step to clear out your mind and look at things from a fresh perspective. It's a good thing that helps you stop in this fast world and take time out to reflect on your life and thoughts you get throughout the day. It's a good way to control what you let into your mind and what kind of impact it's going to have for the day.
Step two - start a journal. Journal is a place where you can freely write down your thoughts about anything that will help you get negative thoughts out of your system. Have you ever tried writing down your thoughts while you were feeling heavy, depressed, sad or angry? If you have, then you know that the minute you get everything out on that paper, you start feeling much easier. It's great practise to be aware of your thoughts and get an understanding how to be your happier self.
Step three - become a friend with yourself. Ask yourself questions your friend would ask you if you were to come to them with some kind of a problem of how you're feeling. You should be your greatest supporter. Not too tough or criticizing about everything you do. Let your guards down and be kind. Ask questions your friend would ask you to help you ease your mind. This way you'll find the answers to the questions that make you feel overwhelmed.
Step four - stop putting yourself in positions where you have to be in a negative environment. Like spending time with certain people, in a certain location, or even doing things that are not affecting you well ( scrolling on social media with no greater purpose like finding inspiration). If you feel that there are people in your life who make you feel stressed and uncomfortable, don't be afraid to cut back on the time you spend with them or just end the relationship. You must remember that everything you do in this life, should be for the sake of your own wellbeing and even if you have a family member who always critiques you and makes you feel uncomfortable at every chance they get, talk to them and don't feel guilty for wishing the best for yourself. Our lives are full of stressful moments, why make it even harder? You should be the master of your own mind and not let this stress drive you.
Step five - talk to someone you can trust. It can be hard to deal with some things alone, so don't be afraid to contact your loved one or a therapist who could help you out by asking the right questions. It could help you be more self-aware of your thoughts and make a positive impact on you. It's nothing to be ashamed of if you need help, we are social creatures and sometimes the best help we can get is from the people we surround ourselves with. People, who can give us another perspective and help us stay open-minded.
Gaining control over our minds and thoughts is beneficial for us. It enables us to focus on ourselves, achieve our goals, and maintain healthy relationships with those around us.
The better control you have over your mind and thoughts, the better control you have over your life, emotions and actions. You develop a healthier lifestyle. You can live your best life by going after your dreams, while staying true to yourself and open to the possibilities around you. You become more self-aware, you learn to value your worth and direct your energy into things that are good for you. You will learn how to avoid extra stressful moments to protect yourself from burning out or feeling overwhelmed all the time.
In order to control your life, you have to become a master of your mind. Your mind defines everything that is happening or is going to happen to you. In order to be successful, you must believe in yourself more than anything else in the world and work your ass for it. Self-aware person is the one who is going to live much healthier and meaningful life.
