Updated: Jan 17

Have you ever found yourself wondering why something you once enjoyed feels off or being confused about who you even are anymore?

Experiencing self-crisis is no joke. You may feel miserable and can't seem to figure out why you're feeling off, especially when you've never experienced that feeling ever before. You may find yourself from not enjoying the things you did before or feel suffocated by surrounding yourself with people, who seemed like your cup of tea a while back.

You can't seem to understand what is happening to you. Is it temporary, is it just the stress that's getting to you or is it something much bigger you must look at?

Even though this season may feel like a punishment or an uncomfortable time in your life, it's actually a blessing.

I am 22 and I've experienced a couple of those periods, but I've began to appreciate them. It's like I already know it's coming by being aware of myself and I no longer feel too stressed about the changes I'm going through.

YES it's not a great feeling, YES I feel overwhelmed, YES I have no idea about what to do or where to go next, but I've began to trust the journey. To take things slowly, to see the dots and connect them until I find a way or assurance to go in some direction. To let myself form slowly into a new or updated version of me.

And you know what? It works. Letting go of the stress, removing yourself from the places that no longer serve you in a good way. Letting yourself be and trusting that it's all going to make sense in the end.

It is the time to learn more about patience and to be more present and not worry too much about the past or future.

Even though you might experience severe discomfort during your upgrading, it's going to be sooo worth it in the end. It's always for the better cause. And I can't say that I've ever changed for the worse. It's always the opposite and that's why it makes me hopeful for all the changes I'm going through.

So, what's something to take from this post?

If you're ever experiencing self crisis, you feel uncomfortable about the changes, because you're so keen on holding on to the things that worked for you in the past.. It's time to make peace with changes and let go of the things that don't serve you anymore.

Just let yourself be and form into this new and better version of yourself that has even greater things planned for you.

Change is good, it's good to prepare yourself for these new things that you wouldn't have appreciated that much in your previous state of mind. Upgrading yourself often means upgrading to more greater things and experiences in life.

Take a leap in faith, trust the journey and just be you. Enjoying the littlest things in life!
